The auction system for New England seafood.
To become a buyer on the auction you will need to submit:
1. Application form
2. Example of Line of Credit, issued by a bank
3. Example of a Bond issued by an insurance company
Buying Rules and Regulations:
The amount for the Bond or Line of Credit should be based upon what your company projects to be the weekly purchases, with a minimum of $20,000 for fish and $50,000 for scallops. Cash LOC’s can also be arranged for the purchasing of fish only.
Payment terms are:
PAYMENTS: Payment is due on Monday before 12:00 PM for previous week’s invoices. If the buyer exceeds their credit limit before the week is over they must pay down their payables in order to purchase on the next day’s auction. There will be no exceptions.
FISH TOTES AND PALLETS: All totes must be washed and sanitized and pallets must be exchanged at time of pick-up or they will be charged to buyer at market price.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL: Non-compliance to all exchange rules and policies will result in the revocation of purchasing privileges and immediate dismissal should be the Exchange management deem to exercise the right.
PAYMENTS: purchases require next day payment
